Beginning September 18 and continuing throughout the school year our congregation will be traveling through the Old Testament. If we believe that scripture is the living breathing Word of God then our life is transformed through engaging in God’s word. The Bible contains an Upper Story and a Lower Story. The Upper Story tells the big, the grand narrative of God’s unfolding throughout history. The lower Story contains the sometimes delightful; other times appalling particulars of human experience. Over the course of this school year we seek to discover the heart of God’s Upper Story – his master-plan unfolding in the lives of the Bible’s characters as well as in our own life.
There will also be opportunities to go deeper with the story through scripture reading guides that you may use in your personal devotional life, adult Sunday School each week taught by Pastor Ralph who will take it to a deeper level of study, small groups - and the children will be taking the same journey in their Sunday School classes as well.
