Rev. Jessica Shults, Lead Pastor    Jess joined the SRC staff in August 2004. Her primary responsibilities include guiding and directing the children's ministries, small groups, college and post-high, as well as serving other young adults and families. Jess is extremely passionate about helping people of all ages discover Christ in new ways and assisting people to feel like they are a vital part of this community of believers. Jess is a 2001 graduate of Northwestern College, where she earned a B.A. in Christian Education and Religion, and a 2004 graduate of Western Theological Seminary, where she earned her M. Div. While attending seminary Jess served Calvary Reformed Church in Holland as their college ministry director and Blacktop Rec coordinator. Jess greatly enjoys spending time with family, playing sports, baking, doing crafts, and having a good cup of coffee with a friend. She and Matt were married in January 2002, just before Matt joined the SRC staff as Director of Student Ministries.    [ Contact Jess ]

Rev. Ralph Robrahn, Assistant Pastor    Pastor Ralph retired from full-time ministry in 2008 and joined our staff in the Spring of 2009 in a part-time capacity. He is extremely gifted in the areas of preaching and teaching, administration, leadership, compassion and care.    He comes to us with 41 years of pastoral ministry experience.  During those years he faithfully served Jamestown Reformed Church, Bayshore Gardens Reformed Church, Fairview Reformed Church, Christ Church of Oak Brook, and Second Reformed Church of Kalamazoo.  In each ministry endeavor he provided key leadership during times of transition.  Pastor Ralph desires to focus on asking SRC two specific questions: Where is God at work and where do we need to join God?  He shares our deep passion to 'walk across the community' and desires to assist us to reach new levels of faithfully living into our vision and mission.  Pastor Ralph is a graduate of Hope College and Western Theological Seminary.  For fun Pastor Ralph and Lynnore enjoy going for walks, reading, and spending time with their family which includes two married sons and four grandchildren.  Pastor Ralph's main responsibilities include preaching, leadership, and pastoral care. .    [ Contact Ralph ]

Matt Shults, Director of Student Ministries    Matt began his ministry at SRC in February of 2002. He directs the ministry for students in grades 6-12, which includes Junior High and Senior High youth groups, Discovery Hour classes for those ages, a Senior High Bible Study, and other events. Matt explains his motivation for his ministry: "I love working with students of all ages and seeing them grow closer to Christ. I enjoy helping them think through life issues and help them begin to think on their own as an educated Christian." Matt grew up in Grand Ledge, Michigan, and is a 2003 graduate of Northwestern College, where he earned a B.A. in Religion. Having played lacrosse while in college, Matt enjoys working in his spare time as the assistant varsity coach and head JV coach for the lacrosse teams at Zeeland High School. Matt also loves to hunt, fish, and play sports (especially golf). Matt's wife Jess is also a member of the SRC staff. She is the Pastor of Discipleship Ministries. Ryan Starr, Worship Leader    Ryan Starr grew up in Buffalo, Minnesota.  Since middle school, he played an active role in his church youth group and was provided many opportunities to develop leadership skills and musical abilities.  After high School, he moved to Colorado for his first year of Bible College.  The following year he transferred to North Park University in Chicago, Illinois and was able to experience the amazing diversity of the city. Ryan quickly integrated himself into the solid Christian community and in 2008 he received a bachelors degree in Biblical and Theological Studies and a minor in music.    Through his involvement with different campus music groups Ryan met his beautiful wife, Laura.  After they were married they moved to Washington State where Ryan spent two years employed as a worship leader.  Only three weeks after the birth of their little girl, Aislin, they trekked across the country and settled in just up the road in Marne.    "I am excited to have the privileged of leading SRC in worship and becoming more fully integrated into this community."       [ Contact Ryan ]

Joyce Nyman, Administrative Secretary    When you call the SRC office, the friendly voice you're likely to hear is that of Joyce Nyman, our administrative secretary. Joyce joined the SRC staff in March 2004, after having had 20 years of experience working in both secular and church offices. In addition to general secretarial duties, Joyce produces the weekly worship bulletins and newsletters, handles the church's bookkeeping, and coordinates the scheduling of the facilities. When she's not working at the church, she enjoys traveling, scrapbooking, and spending time with family and friends. Joyce and her husband, Roger, have three adult children and six grandchildren, and they are members of Westview Christian Reformed Church.    [ Contact Joyce ]

Harmony Morris, Kid's Hope Director    We are excited to welcome Harmony Morris as our new Kids Hope Director.  Harmony graduated from Kuyper College in 2006, majoring in Educational Ministries. Since then she has been a teacher in a variety of Learning Centers including:  Kids Connection, Appletree, and Champions.  Over the course of the last couple of years she has transitioned into director or lead teacher roles at Champions in Wyoming and most recently as a co-director at Foundations Christian Learning Center in Jenison.  For years Harmony has served as a volunteer supporting many of the children's ministries here at SRC.  She has a deep passion for children, fantastic administrative skills, and great excitement about providing leadership for the wonderful ministry of Kids Hope.    Harmony has been a member of SRC for most of her life. She is married to Andy and is the mother of Rachel who is 3 months old.  We pray that God will place his hand of blessing upon the ministry of Kids Hope and on Harmony as she directs it.    [ Contact Harmony ]
